Science

At Two Bridges School students follow the GCSE Biology curriculum, delivered over one year. Students study all aspects of the Biology course and work at either foundation or higher level of assessmentas well as being supported during lessons by two members of staff, a Class Teacher and a Teaching Assistant.

Lessons are tailored to support specific student needs and areas for development are identified and targeted for improvement. Lessons are designed to be engaging and practical where ever possible. Students take part in discussions and are encouraged to develop enquiring minds about the world around them.

GCSE results in Biology have been successful since the changes made to the Double Science course which required a very high number of practical experiments be completed which was not possible given the range of start dates our students have throughout the year.
