Our Curriculum

We have focused a lot of our time on developing our curriculum to try to adapt to the interests and needs of our students. 

Core curriculum 

All students follow our core curriculum offer of English language, maths, biology or combined science depending on the year, and our personal development and careers curriculum is delivered via the princes Trust qualification – students will either receive a level 1 or level 2 qualification in this. 

Most students will also have the opportunity to study functional skills English and Maths at level 1 and level 2, depending on when they start with us. 

This offer is supplemented by our options pathways. Students chose from a range of vocational or academic curriculum subjects.

For students, who are most interested in vocational subjects we offer Btec level 1 Construction and Btec level 1 motor mechanics which are currently offered at Rowhill School.

Our vocational offer is complemented by BTec Level 1 Hair and Beauty, BTec Level 1/2 Business and BTec Level 1/2 Sport and BTec Level 1 Outdoor Learning. 

Students may also choose to combine these with any of the academic subjects which we offer, these include iGCSE History, GCSE Statistics, GCSE Food Technology, GCSE Photography, GCSE Art, GCSE French and GCSE German, GCSE English Literature, GCSE Physics, GCSE Chemistry.
