Welcome

Welcome to Two Bridges School

We are the behaviour support provision for the West Kent Area. We support a number of students through a variety of different pathways.  We offer support through the WKLF referral forum to all 16 Secondary Schools in West Kent as well as 75 Primary Schools across the Tonbridge, Tunbridge Wells and South Sevenoaks through our primary interventions.

Our ethos

“Focussing on the future”

When students come to us, the most important focus for us is looking towards the future and how our school can support them, no matter what stage they are at in their education, in being successful in the future. We achieve this by embedding our three core values into everything we do:

NurtureCompassionAchieve
A huge strength of our school, as recognised by parents, carers, students, staff and our local schools is the nurturing environment which the strong relationships our staff and students enjoy. We know that our students, just like all young people, will make mistakes. Through an inclusive, supportive environment we will allow them to realise that tomorrow is a new day and we will always start again and continue to support them.Students join us at different stages in their educational journey and we personalise their curriculum so that they have the best chances of being successful in the next stages of their education.

Our Aims

  • To offer a high quality engaging learning experience that highlights the value and enjoyment of learning
  • To equip our students with the tools and understanding required in taking ownership of their emotional wellbeing, behaviours and social developments.
  • To have high expectations of our students in all circumstances.
  • To create a welcoming safe and supportive environment in which students and their families feel safe to explore new ways of working with us and other agencies.

We will accomplish this by:

  • Delivering innovative and effective teaching and learning and always offering constructive advice and guidance for improvements.
  • Working in partnerships with our partner home schools and agencies to support students when they transition to our school. This is assisted by our culture of safeguarding.
  • Standing by our key ethos that every day is a new day and that our students need as many chances as it takes to overcome their personal behaviour challenges through greater understanding of their own mental health and emotional wellbeing.
  • Providing students with opportunities so that they are ready for the next stage in their lives.

Our school is a very special place. An immense source of pride is when we hear from students’ mainstream schools about their progress during their time with us. We have a dedicated and experienced staff team, who work tirelessly to ensure that the needs of all students with whom we work are met.  However, it is the students who are at the heart of everything that we do and when we hear the feedback from them about the impact that the work we do has on them and the difference that this makes for their future, these are our proudest moments.

Should you wish to have any further information about our school, please do contact us.
