When students join us we are aware that there are many different barriers to their learning and that one of the interventions we are able to offer is our unique outdoor curriculum.
Depending on when the students join us they will be able to study one of the following components.
BTEC Outdoor learning – Hospitality and Tourism during this course students visit a variety of local tourist attractions with the brief of discovering which destination may be most appropriate for – Level 1.
VeloBuild – Students have the opportunity to build a bike from scratch and for some students they will also take part in adventurous days cycling. Students will be able to achieve the NVQ Level 2 award for this.
Challenger Troop – Students undertake a variety of activities at different locations to be able to achieve a Btec Personal Development Level 1.
This is a new curriculum to us, so we are constantly evolving our curriculum to ensure that it can offer our students a broad and balanced variety of opportunities so that they can benefit the most.
